Merry XMAS posted by Gadget

Hey, No update in ages but we will provide some kind of update soon.

We haven't given up completely but we may be changing the way the game evolves, and aiming for some kind of release early next year.

We have decided to just release what we do, as we do it, and once we get the basic framework in place this will mean that we can play the game, but it will evolve slower than we had originally hoped.

But at least it will live =D

Merry XMAS to all, and have a happy and prosperous 2006!!

Next Alpha Release posted by Gadget

We are back on track with development and expect to bring the alpha server back online in around 4 weeks time. Behind the scenes a lot has been going on!

Our graphics team have been working on a completely new map, using some new tools and some of the many models that have been created that haven't yet made it into released content. The maps seen so far were merely test maps, thrown together very quickly to allow developers to work on other areas of the system.

With enhancements to some of the development tools, and the vast number of world models this new map should make it to the final release version. Tyler and Kenny have also been working on several creatures and player models. This release should replace the 10 minute character model and animation that I implemented back in 2003 ;)

Other changes include new skills, quests, weapons, and much more.

New Site Coming posted by James

The new C5 site is in development, and we hope to have it completed and ready to go live within a few weeks!

As you can see, and as Gadget pointed out in a previous post, we have now completed the move of the current site to a new server. Most of the site is now functioning as it should.

However you will notice that the Server Status window to the far right is broken. Were working on getting this fixed asap! This isnt a major problem at the moment as the FutureScape server is still offline for the time being.

Plans are being made behind the scenes to possibly start a new recruitment, we will be looking for budding modellers and graphic designers who are interested in taking part in the design and sculpting of the FutureScape universe....

Further news on this will be posted as soon as we are ready to go ahead.

Site Moved posted by Gadget

The site has been moved to another server, and it appears to be working OK. The new site is still in development and we are trying to work out a resourcing solution for the game graphics.

The site may go offline for a few days as we change some provider settings. You should be able to bookmark the temporary URL that will be in the address bar of your browser at the moment.

More news will follow shortly!

Site Move posted by Gadget

I am about to move the site to another server, so if we disappear for a few days you know why ;)

I will post another update shortly.

Update posted by Gadget

Following a couple of recent discussions, I have decided to add a little bit more to my last posting.

Our graphics guys haven't had as much time as they would like and so progress and communication hasn't been great.

The next FS release could be some time away, depending on peoples availability over the next weeks and months.

The engine itself will continue to be developed and may possibly be used to host another RPG, running along side FS development. Trying to coordinate the FS team is proving difficult, due to other workload commitments, and family life.
